Papa Yaw Oppong–Frempong from Ghana - BSc (Hons) Mathematical Business Analysis

“I opted for the University of Wolverhampton because it offered a unique course which really matched my interests, and had great career prospects.

“The University of Wolverhampton, in my experience, has some of the most pleasant, friendliest people around. Front-desk staff were always friendly, helpful and have great customer service skills. After four years in Wolverhampton, it has become my home away from home – the  ‌University has become like a family.

“I thought the facilities were excellent. Everything I needed for my studies was in place. From lectures, tutorials and workshops, I developed great people skills, presentation skills and research skills, and above all relevant knowledge for work.

“The one year placement on my course was a real eye-opener. It was a great source of advice, and relevant work experience. I found it extremely rewarding. My study trip to China was woo hooooooooooooo!!!! – the best time ever! There was a welcoming aura and a constant feel of cultural riches. We experienced great food, humid weather, awesome culture as well as fun-loving people. It was a magic combination that made the China study trip the best thing in the world.”

Ira Tyagi from India - MSc Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology

“I chose the University of Wolverhampton because its science stream is very good. I learnt new techniques, and easy and proper ways to carry out lab assignments which will be very helpful to me.

It’s very easy to settle into life and studies here because of the friendly environment and helpful University staff. Student Support Services were helpful at every step e.g. in enrolling, on city tours.

The University buildings, facilities and technology were very good, and living in Halls of Residence was a perfect way to communicate and make friends from different countries.

I gained good study skills, confidence and I’m looking towards a secure future.”

"The main reason I opted for the University of Wolverhampton was that my younger sister had already graduated from the University. She mentioned that the education service here fulfils her dream to study in the UK. The atmosphere is so friendly and passionate. The Student Support Service makes me feel at ease, and I don’t feel like a stranger studying abroad."
