I cannot rave enough about my Chinese language course at BLCU organized by GAC. The activities and trips were fun. The classes really intensive as the teachers always found ways to organize activities, which made the learning process easier. I gave speeches in Chinese language, something I had never thought id be able to do and I made really good friends and really enjoyed my time in China.
I contacted GAC with the hope of finally fulfilling my dream of visiting China. GAC provided me with support and assistance while in China. It was great that I could call them anytime and someone would be at my accommodation to help me out when I needed some anything. I was able to make friends with the other interns who were from different parts of the world. Most of us had the same classes and would always end up at the bars in Wudouko.
I got the opportunity to make international friends from all over the world and explore China through GAC. I got to see an acrobatic show in a massive theatre, take a four-hour train ride through various cities in China and improve my ping-pong skills. My classes at Peking University were exactly what I wanted and I got a certificate when I finished. Great experience. Thank you GAC.
I was in my second year at university and decided to take a break from uni to go on a placement year. Finding an internship in the UK was difficult, so when I found an ad on a popular internship advertising site about internships in China, I decided to contact Go Abroad China because of the programs and activities they advertised. I began my application after thoroughly researching the company and not long I arrived in China. They got me an internship in an IT start up in Shanghai. Luckily everyone spoke English and were really friendly. I was able to get valuable experience in my field and attend networking events in Beijing. Im back in the UK now, but based on my experience, Im looking to take up an internship again sometime in the future.
I ended up applying for the GAC internship in Beijing just because of the chance to travel to China. I was completely clueless about China and was nervous when getting on the plane to China. However, my worries were put to rest when I arrived in China and met with GAC. I stayed with a host family who were really nice and welcoming. Their kids were really fun balls as they always took me out and around. My internship training allowed me develop and gain new skills as I worked with really friendly professionals in my career field.
