Vermont
You may know Vermont as a leader in protecting its pristine environment, a top vacation destination and a state consistently rated as one of the safest in the United States, but you may not know that Vermont is home to a higher number of colleges and universities per capita than any other state.
Home to international businesses such as IBM, Burton Snowboards, and Ben & Jerry's, Vermont attracts students from around the world and from every state in the U.S. A few years ago, a survey showed students from nearly a hundred different countries attended higher education in Vermont.

Why Vermont?
Students in Vermont find the state appealing for many reasons, including 212 miles of shoreline on Lake Champlain, 700 miles of hiking trails, and the most skiing and riding terrain in the eastern U.S. A true four-season environment allows students to enjoy the changing colors of autumn, a fun-filled snowy winter, a lush and green spring, and warm and sunny summers. Winter temperatures do fall below 0 C, but summer over tops 28 C and spring and fall are very comfortable.
Recreational opportunities like skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, wind surfing, sailing, and swimming are available throughout the state.
Vermont features charming country villages as well as small, cosmopolitan cities in a safe setting, while still easily accessed through Burlington (VT) International Airport, Boston's (MA) Logan International Airport, Manchester (NH) Airport, Albany (NY) Airport, and Montreal's (CAN) Dorval Airport.
