Idaho offers a great deal for those interested in museums, including the famous 'mammoth replica' display in Grangeville where you can visit the remains of a mammoth discovered in Idaho. There are also a great number of historical sites such as the Ernest Hemingway memorial and the Oakley historical site which was built as a Mormon reserve in 1883. If you are looking for a good night out in Idaho then go to Boise. The two most buzzing districts are downtown and north end. Downtown has a European feel with sidewalk cafés and many small restaurants. The downtown area has many bars and a vibrant nightlife.
For some sightseeing you must visit the Balanced Rock, a natural formation featuring a 48 feet tall, 40-tonne rock, balanced on a pedestal 3 feet by 17 inches.
Theme parks are very popular in Idaho with both students and locals alike. Or you can try your luck at one of the many casinos in Idaho. If you are an outdoors kind of person then you won't be disappointed with Idaho. Basketball, baseball, football, and hockey are among the most popular sports in Idaho. Alternatively, for a relaxing day out, why not visit some of the best hot springs in America? Idaho boasts natural, hot pools that are open to the public all year-round.
Living in Idaho
Idaho offers a good standard of living at a very reasonable price. The housing in Boise, Idaho's capital city, is slightly more expensive but cheaper accommodation can be found if you do your research. If willing to travel outside the city and take the train living economical is not out of the question.
