Connecticut's education system is one if the best in the United States of America. There are a number of very reputable universities and colleges located throughout Connecticut. Connecticut has 20 private universities and colleges, seven State schools that offer four-year degrees and 12 state schools that offer two-year degrees.

Connecticut has a global reputation for its strength in the fields of biomedical engineering and business. A graduate degree from a university or college in Connecticut will enhance your employment prospects as graduate education here is held in high regard. Most Connecticut universities have a long history; the oldest university was established in 1849. Many famous people including Eli Whitney have studied in Connecticut.

Connecticut has so much in store for anyone wishing to study here. Outdoor pursuits include nature trials, biking or boating in the Atlantic. Connecticut offers fun There for everyone, whether you want to visit a theme park, or see a baseball, basketball, or hockey game, Connecticut has it all. Connecticut has a rich history and there are many landmarks to visit such as the Mark Twain house. You can relax by fishing or visiting one of Connecticut's many parks.

For a more buzzing scene, get your dancing shoes on and head over the city of Hartford and go to the bars and clubs that are bursting with the people and culture of Connecticut.

You are spoilt for choice in Connecticut for dining out. Almost every cuisine is available here to try including American, British, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and many more ethic foods. Feeling lucky? If so you can head up to any of the Indian reserve and go and gamble at the Foxwoods Hotel and casino or even the Mohegan Sun Hotel and Casino.

Living in Connecticut

The standard of living in Connecticut is very high. Connecticut is a very prosperous State, which attracts celebrities, politicians and other successful businessmen and women. Consequently, housing can be quite expensive if you don't shop around. However, finding an economical apartment is not out of the question. Parts of Hartford, and New Haven have housing to fit anyone's budget.

The weather in Connecticut is fairly agreeable. Connecticut experiences four distinct seasons. Since Connecticut is located in the upper northwest territory of the United States of America it is a humid continental climate. Having said that, Connecticut is on the shore line so the humidity never stays for more then a few hours. Connecticut has hot summers and cold winters. It is incredibly easy to travel around Connecticut, as its transportation system is extensive and very accessible.
