Entrepreneurship
The Department of Management and Marketing is one of four departments within the Kemmy Business School (KBS) at the University of Limerick (UL). The school is academic home to almost 3,000 students and over 100 enthusiastic faculty and staff and offers a wide range of business and management education programmes.
Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Marketing
Ireland's goal is to develop an indigenous innovation-driven economy. To achieve this, innovative, entrepreneurial and marketing related skills and attitudes need to be nurtured. The KBS contributes to this agenda through its research on small and medium sized enterprises. Specific research foci include: internationalisation; family businesses; marketing strategy; advertising and consumer research; new product development; branding and relationship marketing. The interface between entrepreneurship and pedagogy; and marketing and innovation has also attracted significant research attention.
The 1 year MBS in International Entrepreneurship Management programme is designed to meet the needs of individuals who want a management education that will prepare them to start new, innovative high growth firms or to assume managerial roles in organisations (large or small) where continuous product and process innovation, creativity and entrepreneurial behaviour are key defining features. The programme also addresses the needs of those who wish to pursue doctorial research in innovation, creativity or entrepreneurship areas.
