

The University also forms an integral part of the Norwich Research Park which has one of Europe’s largest single-site concentrations of research in Health, Food and Environmental Sciences. The Research Park is home to over 1,000 scientists working in world ranked institutions, such as the John Innes Centre, Institute of Food Research, The Sainsbury Laboratory, The Genome Analysis Centre, and the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.
The quality of the Faculty’s Research has earned us a reputation as one of the top research universities for Science in the UK. In the latest Government sponsored Research Assessment Exercise all of the Research Units within the Faculty of Science were rated as having world leading research, and over 93% of the research outputs were assessed as being of international quality.
The University has also been placed 3rd in the world for Geosciences (Thomas Reuters Essential Science Indicators); and we have also been consistently ranked as one of the top universities for student satisfaction in the UK National Student Survey.
